The Subsidy and Support Scheme for the Off-Campus Education and Training Industry (Phase 1) closed on April 4, with over 200 applications and overwhelming responses. The first batch of applicants who have been successfully approved for cash assistance will be notified to collect cheques, so stay tuned.
The online teaching training "Out-of-Campus Education Professional Forum 2022 - Teaching and Leadership in the Epidemic" and "Out-of-Campus Education Technology Forum 2022 - Online Teaching and Management" were also held online on April 15, with nearly 180 people participating, which was very successful. The sharing highlights of a group of professors from the University of Education, Microsoft experts, the founder of Classeek, and the director of Fun Fun Arena will be revisited online.
Participants who have registration information and require a certificate of attendance will receive a certificate by email before the end of the month.
Among the speakers who shared teaching, leadership and technology application with members at the forum, five professors from the University of Education were all in the "Master of Arts in Leadership Innovative Learning Organizations" organized by the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership, School of Education and Human Development ( LILO) to teach.
The Master of Arts in Leading Innovative Learning Organizations (LILO) is Hong Kong’s first-ever master’s degree specializing in innovation, leadership and education. It envisions to empower future leaders in schools and educational services organizations with the capacity to initiate and sustain innovation for improved leadership practice.
The LILO experience, featuring innovative learning, professional networking and flexible delivery, will bring participants’ professional perspective to the international level for understanding best practices globally and applying them locally. The programme will equip participants with an entrepreneurial mindset that can capitalize on novel opportunities and envision a future-oriented learning organization.

DSE Diploma Exam Candidates

The Diploma of Secondary Education Examination will start on April 22. In order to support students, the Association will provide five sets of test kits per person for members of the Education Center to collect on their behalf.
The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority announced earlier to strengthen the precautionary measures in the examination room for the secondary school diploma. Before going to the examination room every day, candidates are required to take their own body temperature and complete the rapid antigen test for coronavirus disease, and fill in the candidate's health declaration form.
If HKDSE members are students of the HKDSE, they can register to receive test kits for students in need. After receiving the reply from the Association, they can collect the test kits from the warehouse in Lai Chi Kok. Each HKDSE student will be issued five sets of test kits, or according to the remaining test days.

The Association strives to promote the quality of education and training, and welcomes colleagues to join the Association.
Due to the impact of the epidemic this year, the education and training sector as a whole is under heavy operating pressure. Both institutional members and individual members of the training association can be exempted from the last year's fee ($1,000). New members who have successfully joined the membership will receive a mailing membership card and an email reminder.
